Live Demonstration, Gallery Reception to Follow.Mike was born in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. At a young age his interests in art helped pave a clear path to his life long career as an artist. Starting out as a graphic designer, one course at Illinois State University changed everything. This is where Mike completed his degree in glass blowing and sculpture. Much like design, glass is demanding. Mike has transitioned into this material with the same amount of focus and persistence as he did with his design work. He has taken it upon himself to become an educator of the material and teach high school kids how to create with glass. The path he has chosen is a true test to his ability as an artist and young educator. He now resides in Chicago with his Wife (Terie), son (Arlo) and cat (Angus).
